Pazyryk 2'7 x 3'9 (79 x 114)
This is a Pazyryk rug, inspired by the original "Pazyryk Rug" which is actually one of the oldest carpets in the world, dating around the 4th-3rd centuries BC. It is now in the Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia. The original Pazyryk rug had been frozen in ice and was very well preserved. The designs and systematic motifs in the Pazyryk rug are similar to modern Turkmen carpets.
